I’m joining Anne of In Residence with her “Currently” link-up where we’re talking about what we’re currently…
documenting…
…travels through my iPhone camera. I’m so bad a taking pictures that I got not even one of our trip to Crystal River. But thankfully my husband is better so we did get some pictures. Most of them were on the GoPro.
accomplishing…
…not as much on my summer house projects that I’d like but I sure am having fun not doing it! So although I’m not doing all the painting I was planning on, I’ve been busy with other equally important things. Such as…
enjoying…
… a break from my usual commitments which gives me the freedom to travel and do other projects like focus on the house and go thrifting! I took my mother-in-law and sister-in-law to six different thrift stores today! We all found stuff! I keep a list of things I’m looking for and today I found two of them: Harry Potter DVD (#2) and a glass lid to a Corningware dish I have. I also bought a book (The Kitchen House), a blue glass ball, a White House|Black Market dress, an Eddie Bauer tee, and a Ralph Lauren shirt for my hubby. It was a good haul!
reading…
I’ve been reading three books at a time: one on Overdrive, one on Kindle app, and one real one. I’ve also abandoned a few that I thought I’d like but proved to be duds. You can follow me on Goodreads if you want to see what I’ve read, what I’m currently reading and what I thought about the books… A lot of the books I’ve read
spending…
I am enjoying spending time with my family! In June hubby and I traveled to Richmond Virginia; the Florida Keys – all the way to Key West and back; Jupiter, Florida; and Crystal River, Florida. I’m also spending time with my kids but now that they are older they don’t go on all our trips. I’m also spending time with my brother and his family and my husband’s sister and her family (and their boat!) and my mother-in-law.

I just finished listening to The Kitchen House, and WOW. Powerful, poignant, sweet. I’m thinking of buying the audio AND the print version. And HOORAY for traveling!!! You’ve been doing some fun stuff, girl!
Oh I’m so glad to hear you liked it! I have three other books to finish first! Haha!
I’m envious of all your travelling – looks like so much fun!
That’s what summers are for, no? I do love to travel! I just hate that we leave our pooch behind! She hates it when we travel!
So much fun!! Love you in the hat…I need one of those!! Love Key West…I have to go back!! And thanks for the book picks!!
I love that hat! Saves me on super sunny days! I’m working on. KW post!
You always have such a good time. I don’t think I know what Overdrive is?
Look who’s talking!! Overdrive is an app. You link it to your library and you can check out audiobooks and ebooks FOR FREE!!
I loved the Keys. Just visited Key West for a very short weekend but loved the feel, the vibe So glad you are enjoying this summer. Painting can wait til the weather cools.
I am juggling too many books right now. I have a Kindle, two Audibles and now a print book to read. The settings, characters and themes are becoming a muddy mess in my mind.
Yay for a productive day of thrifting.
You wear green well. It is the best color in the world. And looks really pretty on you!
Thank you dear Leslie! I’ll be painting a desk tomorrow! My first go at chalk paint! I bought the Annie Sloan soft wax today. I’m excited to get started!
Ha, I love the comment about how much fun it is to NOT be accomplishing things on your list. I’m not usually a procrastinator, but when it comes to painting, pretty much anything else sounds more fun. Thanks for joining in this month!
