‘Tis the season for holiday parties! If you are hosting one, have I got the best appetizer for you! You can prep these Bacon-Wrapped Dates ahead of time (even the day before) and pop them in your oven when it’s almost time to party! If you are coming over from Whitney’s blog , with drink in hand, for the Blended Blog’s Second Progressive Dinner, welcome! Come on in and grab a napkin! These little salty/sweet apps are addictive! If you are a regular reader then you may just want to hop on over for the full dinner!The Blended Blog's Progressive Dinner: Best Appetizer for a holiday party

The first time I made these appetizers was for a Wine and Cheese Party two years ago. They were quite a hit and I have made them multiple times since then. I got the recipe from one of my favorite books ever, Bread and Wine by Shauna Niequist. (If you follow the affiliate link, I will make a small commission at no cost to you!)

A delicious appetizer that only has three ingredients? How can you pass on that? Plus it has the perfect combination of sweet/salty and soft/crunchy. And did I mention BACON??

The easiest and tastiest 3 ingredient appetizer for your holiday parties! Check out Making the Most of Every Day for more inspiration!

Bacon-Wrapped Dates {an appetizer}

Ingredients

  • 1  8-oz package of dates
  • 4 oz goat cheese roll
  • 1  16 oz package of bacon

Procedure

If the dates are not already pitted, cut a slice along one side and lift out the long seed.pitting-dates

Fill with a small scoop of goat cheese.

Wrap with a half slice of bacon. Arrange with seam side down on a foil lined baking sheet (to facilitate clean up).

Bake at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes. You want the bacon to be well cooked. I like crispy bacon! You can serve these warm or at room temperature.

  1. YUM!!!! I have always wanted to make these, now I have the perfect recipe!!! Saving this one and drooling over that bacon crisp outside around that succulent date and goat cheese!!! Fabulous!!

  2. I’ve made these before and I absolutely adore them! I haven’t made them in a few years but now I’m thinking I need a reason to…or not, I’ll just make them and eat them myself!

  3. Such a combination of tasty ingredients and textures. I want to try these. PC is on board for anything with bacon or cheese, to have them both in one appetizer would be the next best thing to heaven. Really pretty graphics, Sheila. Love the spring of green (rosemary?).

  4. Wow those look yummy and I am a huge fan of all 3 indigents! Adding to my must try list….
