I’m back today with the olive Pixie pants from yesterday. This time I did a little pattern mixing by pairing the pants, which have a large dot pattern, with a floral top.
I decided to go for comfort so I wore it with black flats. I added a third print by echoing the stripe on the neckline and cap sleeves in my scarf.
It’s a very lightweight scarf. Perfect for these “fall” days of Florida!
So cute! I would have never thought to put those pieces together, but it totally works. I like the “stripe echo”! I’ll have to be watching for ways to incorporate an echo in my outfits.
Yes, the echo is a nice nuance. Be sure to share what you do! 🙂
I just love your pattern mixing. I don’t know why that was kind of taboo for awhile. It just makes an outfit more interesting, Cute outfit friend.
There’s pattern mixing and then there’s pattern clashing and boy is it a fine line! I’ve noticed it in home decor before. Don’t know why it’s taken so long for me to translate it to fashion! Thanks Leslie dear for your kind words!
Hi! I found your blog from the Write 31 Days link up 🙂 I love this outfit! It’s so fun. I love it when pattern clashing works out.
Hi Naomi! Thanks for stopping by! Yes, I was surprised by how much I liked this one!
