Day 25: My inspiration {Write 31 Days}

I get inspiration for fashion from several different places. First off, as I’ve mentioned before, is Pinterest. I have several different boards where I pin fashion ideas to try later.

But I also have several different fashion bloggers who I follow that give me ideas. I thought I’d share some of my favorites.

First up is Alison Lumbatis from Get Your Pretty On. She is the one who kick started my whole fashion kick through her Style Challenges. I have learned (and continue to learn) so much from her. I {heart} Alison! I love that she dresses totally on trend (and teaches the rest of us how too) yet she’s still a mom, in her 40s and not trying to dress like a twenty-something.

Next on my go-to list is Cyndi Spivey of Grace and Beauty. She blogs about fashion and beauty for women over 4o (that’s me!) and she’s a pastor’s wife and has a heart for God which I really love. She and Alison have collaborated on a Style Challenge before.

Jo-Lynne Shane is another favorite because she’s a mom, over 40 and loves the Lord. Her style is casual yet classy. She and Cyndi have collaborated on a Facebook fall style challenge before. I don’t know if they know each other IRL (in real life) but they are two peas in a pod in blogging world!

A closer-to-home blogger friend (but I still haven’t met her IRL) is Carrie of A Lovely Little Wardrobe.  We “met” through Alison’s Style Challenges and began collaborating through the Style Me Sisters. That grew into a collaborative blog called The Blended Blog. She’s the master mind behind Create 28. She’s super sweet and has a great sense of style (not to mention is in great shape!)

And my newest blogging subscription, who I met through Pinterest, is Yasi from Hello, Gorgeous! She is ALL over Pinterest! I love her outfits! She’s not a mom, and probably not as old as me but she does have great taste and a lot of my pins are of her so I figured I should throw her in.

I'm a wife, mom, and a homeschool teacher. I'm always behind on housework and paper pile sorting. I'm fond of this crazy life but not of melted cheese. I want to follow hard after God, making each day really count. I like to run, read, cook (and eat!). Thanks for joining along on my journey!
