Assuming the days are getting cooler, you can start adding layers to the Old Navy swing dress. One way to do that is to add a cardigan. This is also a nice way to add color. Here I added a wine colored cardigan (also Old Navy) which is a hot color for the fall. You can button it up like I did here.
I did leave it plain and simple here but imagine adding a third element like a statement necklace from Day 1 or a scarf from Day 2.
I think this would look really cute with blingy pearls or a black and white print scarf.
Or you can leave the cardigan open like I did with the mustard colored one.
Grey and mustard is a great duo. I just love the two together. And the leopard brings in that added touch.
This outfit would also be cute with the long tassel necklace from day one or a warm ivory scarf.
You can even try a waterfall or handkerchief cardigan or a cocoon cardigan. Maybe even a cardi with a print such as stripes or aztec. Or maybe a poncho or cape! The possibilities are endless, I tell ya!
Are you seeing how the blank slate dress can be changed up? Come back tomorrow to see it all dressed up in an elegant look!
Note: I did not receive any compensation from Old Navy to talk about this dress. I share it with you because it’s something I bought and love and I want to share it with you. There is no affiliate link in this post.
I love the gray and mustard together. I hafta say, the leopard print is growing on me.
The grey and mustard is a killer combo. I’m telling ya, the leopard is an acquired taste, but once you do, you wonder how you lived without it.
You’re rocking this series! My blank slate dress is sleeveless and black, but I’m liking your swing dress A LOT! Grey and mustard is probably my favorite, but all your looks have been great! Thanks for the ideas!
It’s good to have a couple of blank slate dresses! I have a black sheath dress too that I was thinking of featuring. Maybe 31 days isn’t enough! Ha ha!
My BFF loves swing dresses but my “girls” make swing dresses look like tents on me. I am so jealous that you gals can rock them so well. Love these looks, especially the gray and mustard combo. And your setting ain’t half bad either!!
You can easily change it to a more structured dress! Yeah my girls aren’t quite so pronounced!
