Monday Moments of Gratitude #11

This entry is part [part not set] of 16 in the series Monday Moments of Gratitude

Linking up with Simply Shaunacey for another Monday Moments of Gratitude, a place where we are intentionally grateful for the little things in life.

Monday Moments of Gratitude1. My garden is growing! I’ve already eaten three tomatoes and a green onion from my garden. On Saturday, I spent a blissful hour or two puttering in the raised beds, pulling weeds and planting a few more tomato plants. *Happy sigh*lettuce

2. Great weather!  After traveling around for three weeks, it was great to be home during the best weather of the season. It’s been in the high 70s and low 80s with no humidity and clear skies. On Sunday we went to Jax Beach’s “Opening of the Beaches” parade.beaches parade

3. Being home! I caught up on laundry and other projects. Ran with my running partners, cooked dinners at home and went on a date with my hubby!whole thirty dinner

4. Final stretch of Whole 30! This is the last week of eating only protein, fruits and veggies. In all honesty, it has not been that hard. Yes, I miss coffee, but I’m functioning fine without it. Yes, I miss alcohol, but this has been a good break. Yes, I miss dairy, but this is not a permanent thing. So glad I don’t have to give it up because I’m allergic or anything like that. My daughter is doing it too so as long as she keeps going, I’ll do it with her. Except that I might sneak in a coffee now and again. The REAL hard part is not weighing in the whole 30 days.

  1. YAY for growing garden!! I can’t wait for the weather to heat up so I can plant some flowers!!

I’m so impressed that you went without coffee/alcohol for 30 days!! I need my coffee and love my wine lol (but you learned that already lol)

No weighing in the WHOLE time?! that would be so hard

    1. It was not as hard as I thought it was going to be. I like to challenge myself that way, you know? Sometimes you just have to break with what has a hold on you. I think I’ve lost some weight, judging by my clothes. That was the hardest part – not weighing. Three more days!
