This past week it was really rainy. The temps have cooled off some (hey, if it’s not in the 90’s, it’s cool!) and on some days the humidity was even down! So even if it’s not really fall weather, it doesn’t really feel like summer either. So let’s call these “fall inspired.” Here’s what I wore:
Ok, it wasn’t raining on this day, but it was the first day that I could stand wearing long pants. I paired the olive linen with my favorite chambray shirt. But I still couldn’t stand to wear closed shoes, so wedge sandals it was.
On this day, the sky was overcast but it wasn’t very cool. I wore dark skinny jeans with a floral top to brighten my day. I broke out the black flats in place of sandals which instantly transformed a summery outfit into a fall-inspired one.
Today was a rainy day. It rained off and on all day. I was at homeschool group in the morning and they BLAST the a/c in there! So I wore this aqua checked long sleeved top with skinny jeans, blingy pearl necklace and I layered on a military vest. Afterwards a friend picked us up and we had a girly date. Had coffee at Bold Bean, went to Goodwill looking for a large canvas for a craft project but came home with a red argyle Tommy Hilfiger sweater instead.
Is argyle still in? It feels so late 80s… I think it will be cute with black slacks and I may try layering a black blazer over it. Or maybe with a black pencil skirt and black boots? How would you wear it? Any ideas?
Liking these looks – that floral top is really pretty and feminine. Argyle. I don’t know if it’s in style but I haven’t seen any in awhile. It might have gotten replaced with plaid but idk. I like the idea of pairing it with a blazer.
Thanks Carrie! I may chicken out and not wear it. We’ll see when it gets cold enough.
