Fall 2017 Home Tour

I’m joining the Blended Blog’s Fall 2017 Home Tour link up! I decorated for fall during Hurricane Irma. We left shortly afterwards for our Spain trip and once we got back, life hit me like a tornado! So it’s a good thing I decorated when I did!

Fall Home Tour – the Dining Room

I tend to keep my fall decorations light. I’m not a big Halloween fan so I don’t decorate with scary stuff. Just little touches of fall color. In my dining room, I pulled out my chicken pitcher that is painted with fall colors and added the little white ceramic pumpkin  to my collection. I picked it up from the dollar spot at Target.  Fall Home Tour

On the sideboard I put three squash that came out of the garden into a wooden bowl. I added a few fake leaves in the apothecary jars and two more little pumpkins I picked up this year. I draped the mirror in fall leaves as well. In the mirror you can see the string of little apples hanging in the opening that leads to the living room.

This book case got a little color as well. I painted that wooden pumpkin before I had kids. I actually have two of them. I don’t know what happened. I must have gotten sidetracked because that’s the only picture I have in the living room! There’s not a whole lot more decorations but I didn’t even give you the total big picture. Oops! Sorry!

Fall Home Tour – The Fireplace RoomFall Home Tour

The fireplace room got some fall color as well. I like the two twig pumpkins that are on the hearth. I draped the runner I made on the console table and half-filled the cloche with mini pumpkins and gourds. You may be wondering about the doll stuff in the corner, since my “little girl” is 17 and a senior in high school. I keep those out for my little nieces when they come over and the little girls who come over for life group. They love playing with dolls.

I’m still working on simplifying and decluttering but it’s coming along! It’s definitely a work in progress!

  1. So many sweet touches of fall. And what a darling banner! I just managed to get my ‘fall’ out and up. Still have a pumpkin project to tackle this weekend. Boy, am I behind.
