Summer swing dress {Create 28}

Since you probably haven’t noticed, I’ll just go ahead and tell you: I’ve been missing for a while. I’ve been traveling and working and have been too busy living life to be documenting it! Ha ha! But today, I’m back at home, the laundry is caught up and it’s my turn to host today’s Create28 look! It just so happens to be one of my favorites!

A summer swing dress.

Last summer, I purchased my first swing dress from Old Navy and instantly fell in love with this comfy yet cute look. I mean, who doesn’t love wearing an extra large t-shirt? The difference is that rather than being an unshapely sack, it’s actually flattering on! Throw on some flat sandals, a necklace and you’re good to go!

Because of that, this spring when I found several dresses for a ridiculously low price at Ross, I had to buy them all.  Here’s one of my favorites…

  1. I think swing dresses are my new favorite for summer. Love the stripe pattern on this one – it looks great on you!

  2. Snorted when I read “who doesn’t like an extra large tee shirt?”. Sign me up! I am officially on the bandwagon with swing dresses. I don’t think they are the best look on me but I absolutely adore the idea of no ironing, throwing something over my head and out the door, no slip. You wear yours so well and may I say that I didn’t see an extra ounce, much less pound from your recent adventures. Glad you are back among us. Welcome home.

  3. Love this dress! I featured a swing dress from ON too 🙂 Great minds think alike. I wasn’t onboard with the swing dress, but now I have a few and I don’t think I ever want to stop. So true, it hides a multitude of sins 🙂

  4. Okay you and Alison have me CONVINCED I NEED a swing dress ASAP!! Shopping here I come!

  5. You can pretty much find me ONLY in dresses – swings, maxis, tanks – in the summer!

  6. Great dress! I love a swing dress, too, for all of the reasons your stated! I really love the variegated stripes on yours! So adorable!

  7. Such a cute and super comfy dress! I gotta go and buy me some dresses, I’m more a pants, shorts kinda girl, but for summer dresses are a no-brainer!
