It’s already been another week?! I don’t have much to show for it as far as outfits go. I traveled to California for my last convention of the season, which means that I wear the same outfit each day. I had brought Challenge outfits to wear but I was delusional when I was packing. There was barely time to fit a run in, much less wear the outfit of the day after a long convention day!
Here are a few outfits that I had styled (but didn’t wear). I followed a tip I learned from Jo-Lynne Shane‘s Instagram and took pictures of my outfits so I would know what went with what.
Day 4: Kimono + Flowy top + boyfriend shorts + metallic sandals
You might remember that I said I wasn’t wearing a kimono so this is my flowy top (new, purchased in Virginia at TJMaxx on my last trip) plus denim shorts and metallic sandals. I didn’t wear it but I like the combo.
Day 5: Lace top + bright shorts +colorful necklace + statement ring + wedges
I wasn’t about to pack wedges on the trip. It was a good thing I didn’t since I didn’t end up wearing this outfit either. But I like it and will wear it another day.
Day 6: Chambray top (sleeveless) + white shorts + sneakers + hair wrap Since my chambray isn’t sleeveless, I opted for a tank underneath so I could keep it open to catch the breeze. I threw in this light scarf to try the hair wrap, but again, I didn’t wear this outfit. They sure had fun traveling to California and back though!
Day 7: Denim vest + maxi dress + wedges
Oh my. I didn’t even try this outfit. This was a travel day so what I did wear was my chambray shirt + Old Navy swing dress + metallic sandals for the plane ride. I threw in a white cardigan to drape on my legs in the cold airplane and was glad I did. I don’t usually travel in dresses for that reason! My legs get cold!
Day 8: Flowy tank + printed short or palazzo pants + metallic sandals
This was the other thing that I wasn’t going to try: palazzo pants. So I subbed out my floral skirt for the printed bottoms.
This is my usual “uniform” so this outfit didn’t feel special or different.
